Opposite Lock Set To Open New Brisbane Outlets

National franchisor of 4WD accessories and service, Opposite Lock Australia, which recently relocated headquarters from Perth to Brisbane, is opening three new stores in Brisbane.

Franchises in Moorooka, Forest Lake and Graceville will open this month as the first part of an aggressive expansion plan nationally.

Opposite Lock is a specialist retailer supplying accessories and service to owners of 4WD vehicles, commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and motorhomes and all its stores are staffed by experienced four wheel drivers.

The new stores are owned by franchisee Rick Sivyer, who is also dealer principle of the well known John Sivyer Holden.

Tony Shaw, managing director of Opposite Lock, says it make sense for existing automotive dealers to add Opposite Lock outlets on site.

“Opposite Lock can provide to automotive dealers a system and network that enables them to capture a market opportunity that they would otherwise not have,” says Shaw.

Sivyer sees the 4WD market growing and says there is a need for 4WD accessories and service in these Brisbane areas.

“4WD vehicles offer more versatility and space than a standard car and Queenslanders are continuing to buy 4WDs in large numbers. Whether you’re trying to fit in four kids and their surfboards or trying to pull a caravan or trailer, you can just do more with a 4WD,” he says.

“So I see a business opportunity in including Opposite Lock in my automotive business portfolio.”

Opposite Lock now has 28 stores around Australia.
