Peach’s restaurant chain coming to Columbus
A Florida breakfast-and-lunch restaurant chain is entering the Ohio market with an outlet near Grandview Heights expected to debut in November.
Bradenton, Fla.-based Peach’s Franchise LLC plans to open about 50 Peach’s Rise & Dine Restaurants in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus in the next five to seven years. The company has tapped Columbus-based Buckeye Peach’s LLC to develop the sites.
The only location secured so far is at 1282 W. Fifth Ave., just north of Grandview Heights, but the company is scouting up to 10 other sites in Columbus, among others in Ohio, said Gary Hoyle, Peach’s Franchise co-owner.
Peach’s Franchise is co-owned by Hoyle, who lives in Anna Maria Island, Fla., and Butch Velie, who lives in Columbus. Buckeye Peach’s is owned by Michael Stasko, who also owns Columbus-based Best Restaurant Equipment & Design Inc.
The Columbus restaurant will be the company’s first franchise. Peach’s Franchise is a franchisor of Peach’s Restaurants Inc., which owns or franchises 10 restaurants in Florida. The privately held company does not disclose annual revenue.
