Dunkin’ Donuts plans 325 new stores by 2010

Dunkin’ Donuts plans to more than double its locations in Greater Washington by 2010.
The Canton, Mass.-based chain known for its creamy coffee will add 325 locations to its 200 in the region.
The company, which has 4,000 locations nationwide in 36 states, plans to expand that to more than 15,000 by 2020.
“We are expanding now because there is a growing demand in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. region for what we offer,” says Lynette McKee, vice president of franchising for Dunkin’ Brands, in a statement.
Many of the locations will be franchises and the company is looking to amend their agreements with the current franchisees so they’ll agree to open two more.
