Cartridge World Awards Master Franchise in Central America

EMERYVILLE, Calif. – Cartridge World, the world’s fastest growing ink refilling retailer in the $60 billion printer cartridge industry, has announced that it has awarded the Master franchise rights to El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Belize to Jose Quan.
Quan, who has owned several businesses in Central America and most recently comes from the computer retailing industry, will be opening the first Cartridge World location in Guatemala City in February 2007. Quan has plans to open four to five stores by the end of 2007 and a total of 25 locations throughout Central America by 2011.
“We are excited to welcome Jose to the Cartridge World team and look forward to utilizing his entrepreneurial experience and knowledge to increase Cartridge World’s visibility throughout Central America,” said Burt Yarkin, CEO of Cartridge World.
Cartridge World, which opened its first franchise location in Adelaide, Australia in 1997, is the first retail cartridge refilling concept to take on manufacturing giants such as HP, Lexmark and Canon while offering cost-saving solutions for consumers and businesses on the traditionally inflated costs of printer cartridges.
