Franchising adopts a Scottish flavour
Franchising will adopt a decidedly Scottish flavour this summer as Scottish Franchise Week is showcased on 4th-10th June. The bfa reports
Now in its fourth year, Scottish Franchise Week aims to raise awareness of ethical franchising and the role which it plays in business start-up, business expansion and job creation in Scotland. Events will be taking place in Glasgow and will draw people from all over Scotland who are looking to start their own business through franchising or expand an existing business by franchising. “Franchising continues to make a substantial and growing contribution each year to the Scottish economy,” comments Dan Archer of the British Franchise Association (bfa). “With this in mind it is important that we continue to encourage those enterprising individuals looking to become involved in franchising, and Scottish Franchise Week is instrumental in achieving this.” The week is sponsored by Lloyds TSB and includes networking, educational and franchise showcase events.
