From a humble start 20 years ago delivering pizza,
When Luis Herrera left Colombia for Miami in 1987 to pursue the American dream, he was amazed to see so many cars zipping around with Domino’s Pizza signs on their roofs. With so many cars delivering pizzas, somebody must be making good money, he figured. So he applied for a job as a part-time driver.
Herrera had graduated from college and owned a clothing shop in Colombia, but in the States he was struggling with English and quickly running low on cash. Domino’s seemed like the perfect entry into the U.S. workforce. When he got the job, he had to borrow a car from a friend.
