Day-care center provides lots of fun
Businessman James Kaiser had to lose his job to find a calling.
In 2005, he and his wife, Tracy, opened All About Kids Childcare & Learning Center, 7015 Yankee Road, and next month they plan to open a second 10,000-square-foot location at 1573 Cavalry Drive, Union.
“We’re thinking about a third location in Mason and possibly franchising down the road,” said the Mount Airy native.That’s a sharp turnaround from the fall of 2003 when Kaiser lost his job with General Electric after 21 years.
“I was devastated,” he said. “I was 40, had four kids, my wife was a stay-at-home mom and I was building a new house in Liberty Township.”
Kaiser, who had a business management degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph and an associate’s degree in computer programming from Cincinnati State Community and Technical College, said he didn’t know what he was going to do. But he did know: “I didn’t want to work for anybody else anymore. I wanted to do something that meant something.
