Curves fitness club franchiser enters VN
Curves International Inc., a world leader in the franchising of fitness clubs, has entered Vietnam through a 20-year franchising deal with Curves Vietnam Co. Ltd.
The local company has opened the first two clubs in HCMC, taking to 10,600 the number of Curves units worldwide.
The local company can sub-franchise the brand to other local partners. Sub-franchisees will be supported by Curves Vietnam and Curves International Inc. on product knowledge, fitness machines, operations, marketing, management and business development.
Christina Bates, president of Curves Vietnam Co., said that in the next three years, it would open some 52 clubs in major cities, including HCMC, Hanoi, Danang, Can Tho, Haiphong and Nha Trang.
Christina said Curves Vietnam planned to have a secondary master franchisee in the country by next year.
The company will open the first four fitness clubs this year before franchising the brand to partners, she said.
