Ameristop franchisees want out of agreements
Twenty-five franchisees who operate 31 Ameristop Food Marts in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana want to join a lawsuit against the Cold Spring-based convenience store chain brought by Cincinnati-based Walnut Investment Partners L.P.
The franchisees have asked Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge William Mallory to rescind their franchise agreements and to order the chain to pay for an independent accounting of their franchisee store accounts.
The franchisees contend that certain suppliers have stopped delivering gasoline and food products to their stores because the chain’s parent company, Ohio Valley AFM Inc., has failed to pay vendors out of their store accounts.
