National Franchise Week 1st-12th October 2007
Have you ever wondered whether franchising might be your route to running your own business? Or whether franchising your existing business might be the ideal way to expand it? National Franchise Week, which kicks off tomorrow, is the place to find the answers.
There are more than 750 franchise operations in Britain, including Subway, Domino’s Pizza and Thorntons chocolates. The franchise sector as a whole employs more than 300,000 people and last year generated a combined turnover of £10.8 billion.
Chris Irons of the British Franchise Association, which is organising the week, said: “National Franchise Week is aimed at both those people interested in becoming franchisees and people who want to expand their business through franchising. The great thing about franchising is that it allows people to be their own boss, while following a tried-and-trusted formula for running a business.
The National Franchise Exhibition takes place in Birmingham on October 5 and 6 and will feature more than 200 franchisors and seminar events organised by the British Franchise Association.
Entrance to the exhibition is free if you order tickets via the website or £13 at the door.
