Junk-hauling franchisee expands beyond C. Fla.
Faisal Ansari, who launched Orlando’s first College Hunks Hauling Junk trash-removal franchise last February, is ready to expand his horizons.
With the company on target to nearly double his startup investment of about $140,000, Ansari has secured the rights to franchises in Tampa, where he’ll begin working in January.
In addition, he’s negotiating for master franchising rights for the entire southeastern United States.
To be sure, the $200,000-$225,000 investment required to get the second franchise going is just short of his Orlando franchise’s projected 2007 gross income of $275,000. But Ansari still plans to take on the additional debt to do so, because he says the time is right to expand. “The junk industry is growing as we speak,” he says. “Every day, more of these companies open. It’s important to get my name out there as soon as possible.”
