National Car Rental is getting ready to set up a new office in Oman, as part of a broader strategy aimed at expanding this international firm’s presence throughout the Middle East.
National is working together in Oman with a prominent local firm, namely the Shanfari Group, which will help make it a much more prominent brand-name in the region. Although National’s presence in Oman will be rather modest at first (with only 40 available rental cars) the car rental giant plans to expand its fleet fairly rapidly to 130 vehicles before the end of the year.
The first two National outlets in this country opened at the end of February in Muscat, with another set to open its doors in another city later this month. National has also announced that it intends on offering short-term rentals, as well as leasing options.
