Tasti D-Lite, this week, finalized its first international development agreement to open Tasti D-Lite centers in South Korea. Led by franchising veteran Jim Amos, Tasti D-Lite has begun its expansion from New York throughout the United States and now, around the world.

The first international Tasti D-Lite master franchise agreement was signed with Coffee Bean Korea Co., Ltd. The first centers in South Korea will likely open this summer. Each store will open with the new Tasti D-Lite image and will serve the brand’s healthy frozen treats and new flavors and products being introduced this year.

“The expansion for Tasti D-Lite into the international market is a milestone for Tasti D-Lite,” says CEO Jim Amos. “The growth into South Korea is particularly significant because several fad yogurt chains have their roots in this market. With these centers, Tasti D-Lite positions itself as a worldwide player in the frozen dessert category.”

Coffee Bean Korea Co. Ltd. has a top-rate reputation. The company has already opened an impressive 122 units of a U.S.-based coffee concept since 2001 and plans to replicate this same success with Tasti D-Lite. The company plans to open four Tasti D-Lite centers in prime locations in Seoul this summer. A dedicated management team for Tasti D-Lite Korea has already been assembled and will be trained in New York this May.
