The survey held by the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and ECD Consultoria, consulting firm specialized in the food services segment, indicates that Spain is the preferred destination for Brazilian franchising companies of the food sector in 2008.

According to the study, the European country should receive 33% of the total of chains planning to operate outside Brazil. Mexico ranks second (22%), trailed by Angola, the United States and Panama (11% each).

The document also shows that Brazilian food chains abroad are more concentrated in Mexico (63%), Angola (25%) and Spain (13%).
