Chili’s To Open At American Airlines Center

A Chili’s Grill & Bar is expected to open next month on the ground floor of American Airlines Center, giving sports fans, concertgoers and downtown Dallas residents a wallet-friendly dining option in the Victory Park area.
The Chili’s will be operated by franchisee Gilbert Aranza.
It will be the first restaurant not run by the food service contractor that works with the center, home to the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars.
The 3,200-square-foot restaurant is expected to open by mid-October, said Joe Skenderian, the center’s vice president of business development. The restaurant will be across a pedestrian walkway from Nove Italiano, an upscale restaurant where pasta dishes range from $18 to $36.
“With all of the fine dining in the district, it didn’t make sense to look in that direction,” Mr. Skenderian said.
The Chili’s is to be open year-round, including most of the 100 or so days when no events are scheduled at the center.
