New Franchise Consulting Business Launched Despite Sluggish Economy

Virginia-based FranchiseThis! has launched itself as a new business startup despite a struggling national economy.
The company is wholly-owned by JTH Tax Inc. (dba Liberty Tax Service), which currently ranks in the top 10 fastest growing franchises based on the latest Franchise 500 listing by Entrepreneur.com. The founding mission of FranchiseThis! is to share its expertise in franchising to help emerging business concepts launch a national franchise campaign of their own. FranchiseThis! can also help existing franchisors in a number of different ways, including analysis of current sales systems, recommended structure changes, outsourcing of franchise sales, sales campaigns for single units and area development territories, and re-launching of company brands, just to name a few.
The CEO of FranchiseThis! is Mark C. Johnson, an industry leader in franchising for more than 16 years, having held senior level positions with the likes of Jackson-Hewitt and Liberty Tax Service. Most recently at Liberty Tax Service, Mr. Johnson was responsible for implementing the model for area development that helped fuel the company’s explosive growth. This area development business model has been touted in the franchise world as the model for success for emerging franchises considering area development expansion.
“My vision at FranchiseThis! is to diminish the learning curve for new and existing franchisors alike,” said Johnson. “We can collapse timeframes while at the same time executing the clients plan for growth. These are exciting times because we get to help fulfill people’s dreams by providing them with a blueprint for success.”
Though only 112 new franchise concepts were registered with the Federal Trade Commission in the first quarter of 2008 as compared to 265 in the same period in 2007, according to FRANdata, the fact remains that companies continue to grow and people are still pursuing their dreams of owning their own business despite an uncertain economy. Furthermore, the franchising industry as a whole continues to thrive and outpace its competitors in other business sectors as the March, 2008 International Franchise Association findings revealed, showing that the direct economic output of franchise opportunities grew by more than 40 percent to $880 billion from the previous year.
