Luxottica’s Sunglass Hut Expands To India
Luxottica Group S.p.A, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of premium fashion and luxury eyewear, announced on Tuesday (4 November) that the company is entering the retail market in India.
The company is opening over 100 Sunglass Hut stores at select high-end malls and other premium retail locations across India.
Luxottica will open these stores under a franchising agreement with DLF Group, a real estate developer based in New Delhi, India.
The first India-based store is scheduled to open this month. The company plans to open two Sunglass Huts immediately in New Delhi and develop the chain to over a 100 stores across the country.
Sunglass Hut has a total of over 2,000 stores in North and Central America, Australasia, China (including Hong Kong), the Middle East and South Africa, Southeast Asia (Singapore and Thailand) and the UK.
