Tulsa Cafe To Expand Under Franchise Plan

If David Rutkauskas, the man behind Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe, comes into your restaurant and likes what he eats, he just might want to share the concept with the rest of the world.
That’s what happened to Sean and Kristie Savage, owners of The Crusty Croissant in Tulsa.
Rutkauskas popped into the casual French restaurant one day, and over an egg salad sandwich, coffee and a pastry, decided the eatery would make a great addition to the growing list of chains owned by his company, Beautiful Brands International.
Beautiful Brands announced Friday the company had acquired The Crusty Croissant and plans to franchise it.
“It’s not every day you discover a business model of this caliber with such enormous national appeal,” Rutkauskas said.
Bob Ball, an economist at the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, said Tulsa is an excellent place to start a franchise. Read more.
