Blimpie Subs & Salads Targets College Seniors To Become Franchise Owners

The Blimpie Subs & Salads restaurant chain announced plans to aggressively seek college seniors to join their team as franchise owners.
“We see a tremendous opportunity to help college seniors and community college graduates start their careers on solid footing,” said Pat Conlin, an area developer for Blimpie. “In today’s economy and for today’s 20-somethings, paying your dues for an entry-level position–that foot-in-the-door job–just isn’t that appealing any more. Many have worked in the restaurant business, and we offer them a proven franchise opportunity to start their careers as their own boss.”
Blimpie was founded by three college buddies who opened their first sub sandwich restaurant in 1964 in Hoboken, New Jersey. They had a big American Dream and a simple restaurant idea: Stack the finest quality meats, cheeses and toppings on freshly baked bread right in front of the customer.
Blimpie is one of the largest sub sandwich franchise restaurant chains and is owned by Kahala Corp, a multi-concept franchisor offering the largest section of high-quality, quick-service and fast casual restaurants in North America.
