Toro Burger Bar To Add Third El Paso Location This Summer

El Paso restaurateur Mostafa Rifai is expanding his Toro Burger Bar concept and plans to open a third restaurant this summer near Airway and Montana in East-Central El Paso.
Rifai, who owns Toro with his wife, Michele, said the expansion is part of their “original plan,” and they plan to add three or four more restaurants in the next 12 to 18 months.
The new 2,400-square-foot restaurant is tentatively scheduled to open in mid-July at 6590 Montana, Suite A, at Robert E. Lee in the Montana Plaza 2 shopping center.
The restaurant will employ 30 to 40 people, Rifai said.
“The profit margins in the burger business are very limited,” Rifai said. “We know that if it’s going to be a viable enterprise for us and our investors, we need to have five or six locations. So, this is all part of the plan.
“We offer a high-quality product at an affordable price, and that’s working out very well for us in this economic climate,” he added.
Toro Burger Bar specializes in Angus and Kobe beef burgers but also serves salads, wild Alaskan salmon and crab-cake burgers. The restaurants also feature a wide selection of beer on tap and a full liquor bar. Full post.
