Interstate Batteries Offers Unique Fundraising Idea
Boy Scout troops, sports teams, cheerleaders and youth groups are earning substantial amounts of money for special trips, programs and education through Interstate Batteries‘ powerful battery fundraising program. This ideal program caters to organizations that fund their own programs.
Interstate’s national fundraising program was founded in 2002 to help groups and individuals across the United States earn up to 50 percent profit selling multi-pack alkaline batteries in popular sizes including AA, AAA and 9Vs, battery organizers with built-in testers and flashlights. Groups that use the program say fundraising with Interstate is easy because they offer a practical product that everyone uses.
A Boy Scout Troop of 48 boys in Dallas sold more than $57,000 in their fifth annual spring fundraiser to help raise funds for their Troop’s yearly activities. “With the help of Interstate Batteries, our kids have been able to raise enough money to go on camping trips and buy new hiking equipment,” said Scout dad Doug MacKinnon.
As the top-selling scout of the troop, Christian Lundberg has sold $20,000 in alkaline batteries over the past two years. “With the Interstate Batteries fundraiser, Christian was able to contribute a portion of his sales to his college fund and sponsor a missionary trip to Africa,” said his mother Catherine. “Kids like Christian are successful with this program because it offers a popular product that everyone needs.”
