SBDC To Offer Franchising Course And More

The Kilgore College Small Business Development Center has scheduled a “Franchising—Is It Right For You?” workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the KC-SBDC Boardroom, 911 W. Loop 281, Suite 209, in Longview.
According to SBDC Training Coordinator Melanie Northcutt, the one-night course will give participants an in-depth look at franchising from the perspective of the franchisor, as well as the franchisee.
Participants will explore how to evaluate different franchise opportunities, learn what the franchise disclosure document is all about, see what to look for in the franchise agreement and discover how the purchase process works.
Stephen Falldine with the Collin County Small Business Development Center will instruct the class.
